*he finishes the lsit then gets ready to leave*

"I know, no speaking at the marketplace."

"until u learn japanese u will ahve to pretend to be a mute"

"But then how do I explain that I can suddenly speak?"

"i got that covered"

"Are we ready to go?"

"yes well i am"

She followed him outside. She pretended to be mute.

*he went toward the market area*

She pointed to several things she wanted. One of which was a calligraphy set of ink, pens, and paper; the other was a small ornate teapot.

"after the needs we will get the wants"

She nodded and helped him pick out the needs.

*he carried everything in a woven basket*

She again pointed to the calligraphy set hoping that he would buy it for her.

"we can buy that after my samurai sword"

She nodded again. She knew his sword was important.

*he gets his 2 body katana and the maitenance kit then the caligraphy kit*

She smiled at him thankful that he bought the kit for her.

*he carried the stuff back to the house*

Once there she began to put the supplies away. She figured she would use the calligraphy kit once he taught her how to write in Japanese.

*he set up a shrine for his samurai sword*

She said the Japanese word for rice. She had heard the merchant use that word when they bought the rice. "Is that right Master? The word for rice?"

"yes"

"I want to learn how to write it in Japanese."
