Underground Refuge

*he let go of the leash*

She flew up to one of the branches and sat there surveying the park and the surrounding area.

*he kept an eye on aja*

Someone passes by them. "Is that your dragon?" he points to Aja.

"yeah"

"She shouldn't be up there. She could be a danger to the children." he pointed to a group of children playing near the trees.

*he spoke with trouble* "fine jsut forgot her as a pet for a minute" *he bites down ona bone and flies up grabbing the leash*

Aja thought that Kai was prey and tried to attack him as he grabbed her leash.

*he turned to normal and stopped her from attacking*

Aja squaked at him. She wanted to go near the children. She headed in the direction of the children. When the children saw her coming they ran away screaming.

*he holds her still andshakes his head regretably*

Aja saw him shake his head and she cocked hers in confusion. She tried to lick his hand that was holding the leash.

"let them come to u if they arnt scared"

She sat down next to him on the grass. She had only wanted to play with the children not scare them away.

*he sta down holding the leash looking to the floor missing the old days*

Aja became human for a short time. "Take me home Kai."

*he walks with you home*

"Those children were truly afraid of me. Why is that?"

"your dragon tahts why"

"Why are dragons feared? We won't hurt anyone at least not on purpose."

"dont know they jsut are by some"

"I'm sorry Kai." she then went to lie down in the corner of the room. Aja turned her back to him. She was ashamed of the trouble she had caused.

"its not your fault its theirs"

"Kai, why have I changed so much? I barely remember the jungle now."

"i cant tell"
